Inmate accused of tampering with a victim
An individual already incarcerated has accumulated additional charges following a Dec. 9, 2025 complaint received by the Rockland Police Department.
At the time of the incident, Matthew "Nate" Boegel, 27, of Bowdoin, was incarcerated on charges of Felony Sexual Abuse of Minors and Violation of Conditions of Release.
"It was reported that Boegel had passed a letter to another incarcerated subject, who was subsequently released and delivered the message to the victim of Boegel's prior alleged crimes, asking them to stop cooperating with law enforcement," said Rockland PD.
On Dec. 10, 2025, detectives from Rockland Criminal Investigation Division followed up on the case and charged Boegel with Felony Tampering with a Witness, Informant, Juror or Victim.
