In partnership with the National Park Service, the Frances Perkins Center (478 River Road, Newcastle) will be hosting a special afternoon for families to learn about and be inspired by Frances Perkins. 2-5 p.m. There will be activities for all ages — from young children to older students and parents — the afternoon will feature book readings, a scavenger hunt, crafts, games, a raffle, coloring pages, and more. Authors Ruth Monsell - "Frances Perkins, Champion of American Workers," and Jennifer Merz - "Steadfast, Frances Perkins Champion of Workers' Rights" will be in attendance. Off-site parking only! A FREE shuttle will runs every 15-20 minutes from the Reny's Distribution Center parking lot at 731 US-1, Newcastle.
