Craig Anthony Doucette, 41, died June 5, 2021 after taking his own life.

Born February 1, 1980, Craig attended Camden-Rockport schools, and ignited his passion for vehicles at Mid-Coast School of Technology. He loved Maine, the outdoors, his pets. He adored his children and often enjoyed taking them fishing. 

From a very young age, Craig enjoyed fixing things – usually after he broke them. He had a passion for vehicles, and this led him to become a skilled mechanic and fabricator. Anyone that knew Craig knew that if he couldn’t make a vehicle run, there was no fixing it. 

Craig is survived by his girlfriend, Kathy Grierson, and their two children, Bailey and Mason; his father, Robert Doucette; his mother and stepfather, Cheryl and Warren Alderson; his sister, Renee Flanders, and her family; paternal grandmother, Faye Doucette; and maternal grandmother, Emma Teel; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Forest Doucette, and maternal grandfather, Clyde Teel.  

Craig had a good heart, as proven by his choice to become an organ donor, but sadly, he was still troubled, and substance use disorder won in the end. 

Service and remembrance will be held June 27, 2021, at 1 p.m., at the Waldoboro First Baptist Church.
