Celebrate summer at free Dock Party for AIO: music, dancing and more

Saturday, July 18, 2026 - 06:00 pm to 10:00 pmJoin AIO for a summer celebration on Saturday, July 18, from 6 -10 p.m., for their community Dock Party at Journey’s End Marina, Tillson Ave., in Rockland. The event is free admission and open to anyone age 21+.
DJ Dan Miller will be playing the hits, "so come for the dancing, games, or just the gorgeous backdrop of Rockland Harbor," said AIO, in a news release.
A cash bar will be available (Visa/MC also accepted). Three food vendors will also be onsite: Newty's Ice Cream and the food trucks 'Smoked' and 'Stone Lobster Pot'.
"We locals know that midcoast Maine is a special place to live, work and play and a summer evening enjoying the views of Rockland Harbor and the lighthouse and dancing with friends doesn’t get any better," said Alan Kearl, AIO Executive Director, in a news release. "But to top it off, the added bonus is that by supporting this event you’ll help AIO feed more than 1,000 people for a week!"
All proceeds will support the AIO’s assistance programs.
The event will be held rain or shine under the cover of the Journey's End Marina at 210 Tillson Ave in Rockland (building G6).

Now in our 36th year, AIO Food and Energy Assistance provides nutritious food and heating assistance to Knox County families without judgement, always with compassion. Funding and access to AIO’s programs are more critical than ever as food insecurity in Knox County is projected to continue to increase. Knox County currently has the 4th highest food insecurity rate in the state. During the past year, AIO has supported over 2,400 unique households, which is more than 13% of Knox County. AIO has distributed more than 100,000 meals and snacks to students through its Weekend Meals Program. AIO’s Energy Assistance Program helps about 1,800 households/year with heating assistance or electrical disconnection prevention. AIO provides a direct path for donors to assist our community by putting your donation to work immediately.
