ROCKPORT — Carolyn A. Schwartz, 82, born April 22, 1944, passed away peacefully July 17, 2026.

"Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one the chain will link again.’" – Anonymous.

Carolyn was a gifted 5th grade teacher. She taught elementary school for 46 years and thoroughly enjoyed her career.

During her 55-year marriage to Arlen Schwartz, she was devoted to her family, her students, fellow teachers and faculty.

Carolyn is lovingly remembered by her husband, Arlen of Rockport; her sister-in-law Linda; sister Nancy; her nephew Josh and his wife Kim, nephew Jason and her great-nephew, Eugene.

A funeral service will be held Friday, July 31, 2026, at 10 a.m., at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland. Interment will follow at Achorn Cemetery, Rockland. The Reverend Dr. Irvin Gammon will officiate.
