Camden Hills wrestling finishes sixth at Noble Invitational

NORTH BERWICK — The Camden Hills wrestling program traveled to North Berwick to compete in the annual Noble Invitational held Friday, Dec. 27 and Saturday, Dec. 28 at Noble High School. 

The Windjammers sent 11 wrestlers to compete in nine weight divisions. 

Following the two days of the invitational, the Windjammers finished in sixth place as a team with 117 points. 

Placing for the Windjammers were Julian Henderosn (first), Eric Andrews (third), Josh Saucier (sixth), Devin Hutcheson (third) and Ian Henderson (second). 

Below are the complete results involving the Camden Hills wrestlers. 

106 pounds: Julian Henderson pinned David Wheeler (Noble), pinned Payden Ventry (Lisbon/Oak Hill), pinned Connor Fournier (Belfast) and defeated Griffin Brickett (Wells).  

113 pounds: Ethan Andrews pinned Isaac Ruehl (Mount Ararat), pinned Abel Brethauer (Wells), lost to Derek Cote (Noble), pinned Anunthaya MacDonnell (Falmouth) and pinned Nate Leclair (Mountain Valley). 

113 pounds: Emma Vydas pinned by Carter Dickinson (Spaulding) and pinned by Abel Brethauer (Wells). 

120 pounds: Josh Saucier pinned Shawn Mayfield (Windham/Gray-New Gloucester), pinned by Brycen Kowalsky (Mount Ararat), pinned Jaiden Robinson (Portland/South Portland), defeated Sam Schmitt (Winslow), pinned by Mike Ducharme (Wells) and lost by technical pin to Aiden Clark (Skowhegan). 

120 pounds: Meg Gleasner pinned by Danny Marquis (Wells) and pinned by Lincoln Lambert (Noble). 

126 pounds: Devin Hutchinson pinned Cole Brann (Gardiner), pinned by Charlie Comeau (Plymouth), pinned Gabe Rosado (Windham/Gray-New Gloucester) and pinned Jacob Scott (Wells). 

145 pounds: Ian Henderson pinned Cole Cadwallader (Noble), won by majority decision against Jonah Lovejoy (Belfast), pinned J.C. Gaumer (Plymouth) and lost by majority decision to Sam Martel (Noble). 

152 pounds: Griffin Carnell pinned Jaxon Bailey-Perkins (Spaulding), pinned by Evrit Roy (Mountain Valley), defeated Joseph D’Ambrouso (Plymouth) and lost to Owen McDuffie (Windham/Gray-New Gloucester). 

160 pounds: Nina Fantini pinned by Nathan Coleman (Wells) and pinned by Neptaly Rosales (Portland/South Portland). 

170 pounds: Hayleigh Martz pinned by Ben Laurence (Mount Ararat) and pinned by Dante Felix (Gray-New Gloucester). 

285 pounds: Ben MacWilliams lost to Jeff Kirk (Bangor), pinned Ben Watts (Belfast) and pinned by P.J. Exel (Noble).
