Camden Hills Dental Care Welcomes Dr. Adam L’Italien, DMD, to staff

    ROCKPORT — Dr. Jonathan Goss, DDS, and his team have welcomed Dr. Adam L’Italien, DMD, join the practice of Camden Hills Dental Care at 200 West Professional Offices on Route 90 in Rockport.

    L’Italien came highly recommended to Goss by several of his respected colleagues, who introduced them a couple of years ago. Since then, they have been working together through a mentorship and as members of the Casco Bay Study Club/Seattle Study Club.

    L’Italien has impressed Goss with his passion for excellence in dentistry, according to a news release from the dental office.

    “He is very talented and personable and will bring new energy to the practice,” Goss said. “Dr. L’Italien shares the practices existing values of providing high quality, individualized care. The team is very excited to be working with him.”

    Starting in January, both L’Italien and Goss will be seeing patients together at Camden Hills Dental.

    L’Italien grew up and lived in Maine for the past 30 years. He was raised in Enfield, where he attended Mattanawcook Academy.

    After high school he attended the University of Connecticut, where he received a bachelor’s degree in physiology and neurobiology.

    He received his DMD from the University of New England after completing rotations at Waldo County General Hospital and Katahdin Valley Health Center. Upon graduation, Dr. L’Italien returned to his hometown of Enfield, Maine to practice dentistry at Health Access Network. 

    Thus far in his dental education and career, Dr. L’Italien has received the following academic and clinical honors. He was selected as the first Betterment Fund Scholar as well as Key Bank Scholar for his clinical work with underserved populations. In addition, the Maine Dental Association selected him as an Alva S. Appleby Scholar. He was also chosen to be one of only three Delta Dental Scholars out of the entire University of New England College of Dental Medicine. 

    Dr. L’Italien has been highlighted in Dentistry Today, a publication in clinical dentistry, as well as University of New England Magazine, for his work with underprivileged populations. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Maine Dental Association, Midcoast Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Casco Bay Study Club, and Spear Dental Education. He is Invisalign certified and enjoys enhancing the beauty and functionality of natural smiles through orthodontic intervention.

    Dr. L’Italien met his wife, Danielle, while studying at the University of New England. They have a black lab named Pete, and spend many weekends exploring new trails with him. When he is not practicing dentistry, he likes watching all professional sports, especially basketball. He is a fan of all New England sports teams. On nights and weekends, he can be found perfecting his second favorite hobby, cooking. Dr. L’Italien and Danielle are excited to be a part of the dynamic community of Camden-Rockport that they now call home, he said.
