Camden resident Kit Harrison will speak at Camden the Rotary Club at noon on Tuesday, March 26, about immigration in Maine and how Midcoast-based volunteers help new Mainers navigate life here.
Harrison is editor-in-chief of Amjambo Africa, a multimedia, multilingual statewide news source focused on immigration. She belongs to Connecting Across Cultures, a network of volunteers who celebrate diversity and help immigrants successfully navigate life in the Midcoast. The organization helps with household supplies, winter clothing, transportation, translation, friendship, and more.
Visitors can attend club meetings in person or on Zoom at noon every Tuesday at First Congregational Church in Camden. For more details, visit www.camdenrotary.org
