Andrew M. Reichline, obituary
ROCKLAND — Andrew Reichline, a beloved photographer, dedicated psychotherapist, and passionate musician, died peacefully in his sleep on November 16, 2025. He shared a loving and laughing life with his companion, Sally Landsburg, for 45 years until her passing.
Andy and Sally first met in a group therapy process group and quickly became friends. Their relationship blossomed as they began to work together. Sally, was the co-author of In Search of Ancient Mysteries, which later launched the In Search Of series. Sally enlisted Andy, a professional photographer, to document their travels to the Middle East for the book. They returned in love and began a lifetime of collaboration.
The couple went on to become psychotherapists in marriage and family counseling and clinical child and adolescent psychology. Together, they established Main Street Counseling Associates in Santa Monica, California. On a whim, they purchased a small vacation house in Tenants Harbor and later decided to make Maine their permanent home. Andy’s work as a psychotherapist spanned 47 years, as he was devoted to bringing care to those in need, working with clients from teenagers to octogenarians.
Andy’s passion for music began early. He played upright bass in the Robin Hood Band, which was well-known for wearing Robin Hood outfits during their tours, and also played the tuba in their marching band. His love of music remained a cornerstone of his life; he was a long-time member, singing bass in the choir at Adas Yoshuron Synagogue in Rockland, Maine.
The Lincoln Street Center for Arts and Education was officially established in 2002. Both Sally and Andy were founding members, with a studio on the first floor.
His photography was equally central to his identity. Andy was always available with a camera, creating promotional brochures for local institutions, including the Laura B boat to Monhegan Island, Merry Spring, and Bay Chamber Concerts. He was a founding member of Art Space and was always ready to lend a hand when photographs were needed. Along with his brother, Neil, and sister, Rhonda, he founded the Fischer Gallery in 2018.
As a couple, they created a close-knit group of friends who labeled themselves "The Martians," a label recognizing that they all "came from away." They gathered for long dinners at Bullwinkle's, sharing stories and feelings.
Andrew Reichline is survived by his brother, Neil Reichline, Valerie and Shana Landsburg, Jim, James, Taylor, Brooklyn, Newman, Frankie, and Addison.
