Grief Support Groups offered through Hospice Volunteers
Hospice Volunteers of Waldo County is offering two supportive, compassionate opportunities this winter for anyone grieving the loss of a loved one, according to a news release. Both programs are free and open to the community.
Grieving Through the Holidays, held on Zoom, starting on Tuesdays, December 16, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The group will meet online to help navigate loss during the holiday season, which can feel especially difficult. This gentle, supportive online group offers a space to share, reflect, and find moments of steadiness during a challenging time. Pre-registration is required.
An in-person Winter Support Group starts on Fridays, January 9 through February 27, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and will be located in Belfast. This eight-week group provides a warm, welcoming environment to connect with others who are grieving. Participants will explore coping tools, share stories, and support one another through the winter months. Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged.
To register or learn more about either group, please contact Hospice Volunteers of Waldo County at 207-505-4434 or email waldohospicevolunteers@gmail.com
