SEARSPORT — Crystal M. Chisholm, 28, of Searsport, passed away July 30, 2015, with her parents by her side after a courageous life-long battle with cystic fibrosis. She was born Dec. 12, 1986, in Hartford, Conn., the daughter of Douglas Chisholm and Karen Pelkey.

Crystal was an animal lover, especially her service dog, Benny, who was her constant companion as well as her cat, Kitty. She enjoyed the beach and the ocean and loved listening to the music of the Backstreet Boys and attending their concerts.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Theresa Pelkey. Crystal is survived by her loving parents, Karen Pelkey of Searsport and Douglas Chisholm of Springfield, Mass.; her maternal grandfather, Francis J. Pelkey Sr. and his wife, Patsy, of Ebervale, Pa.; her paternal grandparents, Leon and Barbara Chisholm of Chicopee, Mass.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

At her request, there will be no services held.

Those who wish may make memorial contributions in her memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or to Eastern Maine Medical Center, Pediatric Unit, 489 State Street, Bangor, ME 04401.
