Liberty Graphics opens Freeport store
Liberty Graphics, a Maine T-shirt brand specializing in nature and wildlife-themed T-shirts, is opening a new retail store in Freeport. A Grand Opening is planned for Saturday, May 24, from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of giveaways and special deals, as well as meet some of the company's long-tenured artists.
"After considerable planning and the significant efforts of many employees and subcontractors, we are excited to become part of the Freeport community and fully display the work of our artists and dedicated associates," said General Manager Scott McCormac, in a news release.
Located at 4 Mill Street, this is the company's biggest retail location yet and will feature their full line of designs depicting the wonders of the natural world. Beyond the brand's extensive catalog of fine art prints, customers can expect a wide range of Maine-made products that celebrate the local culture and craftsmanship. The store will be open every day from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
"Since their inception in the late 1970s, Liberty Graphics has been a beloved brand in Maine for decades," said Matt Enos.
Founded in the rural village of Liberty, Maine, the company holds the distinction of being one of the very first companies in the country to print exclusively with environmentally friendly water-based ink.
Beyond Maine, their T-shirts have been sold nationwide in countless museums, parks, zoos, aquariums, and other nature-oriented businesses. With the addition of Freeport, they now have four retail locations across Maine, with sister stores in Camden, Portland, and their hometown of Liberty. They can also be found on the web at NatureTshirts.com
