Camden Hills high school’s Annual Plant Sale, May 17-18
"Warm weather is here, and plants are growing in the greenhouse at the high school," said a news release. "We invite all you gardeners to come check out the Camden Hills Annual Plant Sale the weekend after Mother’s Day."
Available will be vegetable and herb seedlings, and a variety of annuals and perennial flowers.
"We have a great bunch of student growers this year who have been tending some new varieties and many of the most popular varieties from the past," said the release.
All plant containers are $3 each and include single pots, 2-pks, 3-pks, and 4-pks. Buy 3 and get a 4th for free. On Sunday, everything is buy one, get one free from 9-11, and the last hour, everything is $1.
" Our on-campus composting program has ended, so we are unable to offer compost for sale, but we appreciate your support for the last several years," said the releaes.
The sale takes place Saturday, May 17, from 8 – 1 p.m., and Sunday, May 18, from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., at the greenhouse in the rear of the campus. To find the sale area, go to the back of CHRHS near the loading dock area of the school and look for the greenhouse.
"We will have some containers available, but in the interest of sustainability, we encourage you to bring your own boxes to bring home your new seedlings," said the release.
All proceeds support the Horticulture/ Gardening and Sustainability programs at CHRHS.
