It was a frigid Saturday for the 22nd annual Winterfest festivities in the Camden Amphitheatre on January 25, but Mainers “are hardy folks” and know how to dress in layers to keep warm, including their canine family members.
Teams of amateur ice sculptors, of all ages, chiseled away at 300-pound blocks of ice into individual artistic creations and dogs waiting for the doggie fashion show to begin at noon romped around the amphitheatre, some sporting colorful booties to keep their paws warm.
But, for some folks, popping into the Camden Public Library to warm up, where All that Jazz was playing live music and Miss Amy and her crew were leading winter crafts and face-painting, was another fun option to enjoy a special Camden tradition.
