Jon E. Thorson, obituary
CAMDEN — Jon E. Thorson, of Camden, passed away peacefully Nov. 11, 2013, at Full Circle Farm in Union. Jon was born in Worcester, Mass., May 9, 1936, and was the son of John and Elsa (Wennerstrom) Thorson. He was a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Class of 1959, receiving his degree in electrical and mechanical engineering. His military service was as an Army second lieutenant, stationed at Fort Marmouth, N.J.
Jon's career was with IBM in New York, where he held several patents, retiring in 1991 and moving to Maine.
Jon enjoyed working at The Owl & Turtle Bookstore, Steel Pro, Stonewall Kitchen, and French & Brawn, in addition to being a member of the Camden Fire Department. He loved living in Camden.
Jon is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; his son, Adam and his wife, Candice, of Hudson, N.Y.; his daughter, Samantha Harris and her husband, Dan, and their two children, Kai and Hunter, of Fairlee, Vt.; his stepson, Erik Morrison and his wife, Katie, of Big Sky, Mont.; and a sister, Christine Bergquist of Worcester, Mass.
The family wishes to thank Audrey Mercier of Full Circle Farm for the tender care she gave Jon.

Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
