BELFAST — Jeffrey Allen Hassis, 69, of Belfast, Maine passed away on October 12, 2021, at Bayview Manor in Searsport, Maine after a long struggle with COPD.

Jeffrey was born in Bangor, Maine to Mary (Zoidis) Hassis and Louis Hassis on November 23, 1952. He attended high school at Bangor High went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree at the University of Maine at Orono.

Jeffrey was an avid golfer, a superlative “Hearts” player, who was forever risking “shooting the moon.” He was also a gifted conversationalist and a devoted friend of Bill W.

He will be missed by many.

Jeffrey is survived by his brother, Gary of Marblehead, Massachusetts; and his niece, Olivia Maria Hassis Gentes of Los Angeles, California.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary Zoidis Hassis and Louis Hassis.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2021, from 2 - 4 p.m., at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast, where all are cordially invited to attend.
