ROCKLAND — Sandra Stratton, 93, of Rockland, Maine, passed away August 7, 2021 at Windward Gardens of Camden.

Sandra was born in Rockland on July 26, 1928 to the late Frank and Elizabeth Hallowell. She graduated from Rockland High School class of 1946.

Sandra was preceded by her brother, Ernest (Bud) Hallowell, and her sister, Cynthis Robinson.

Sandra married the late Dr. Bruce Stratton on April 9, 1960 and they lived together in Rockland for 60 years.

Sandra enjoyed playing the piano at many social gatherings and played as an accompanist for Drinkwater, School of Dance. She so loved the Arts and was a member of the Shakespeare Society of Rockland.

She worked for WRKD radio of Rockland, Sears and Roebuck and as a secretary at the South School in Rockland.

Sandra is survived by two daughters: Dori Stratton and her husband Mark Oliver, of Katoomba, NSW Australia, and Andrea Norris of Mansfield, Massachusetts. She is also survived by two grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

Sandra was predeceased by her loving husband in early February 2021.

Sandra was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.

Memorial services will be held, graveside for both Sandra Stratton and her late husband, Dr. Bruce Stratton, on September 25, 2021, at 10 a.m., at Acorn Cemetery in Rockland.
