Winterport woman joins Senator King’s legislative team
WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senator Angus King, I-Maine, announced Monday the hiring of three new staff members to support his efforts to serve Maine people.
Maine natives Natalie Hodgman and Nancy Billings have joined Senator King’s team to serve as Staff Assistants, having previously served as interns in Senator King’s office.
Hodgman grew up on a farm in Winterport, where her family raised sheep. She is a graduate of Hampden Academy and Colorado State University. She previously served as an intern in Senator King’s office from May 2019 to August 2019.
Billings is a native of Nobleboro and a graduate of Lincoln Academy and Wesleyan University. She interned in Senator King’s office from May 2018 to August 2018.
Pat Bond, an energy and environmental policy specialist, has joined Senator King’s legislative team to serve as his Senior Policy Advisor.
Bond is a 16 year veteran of Capitol Hill, previously working for Senators McCaskill and Rockefeller on energy and environmental matters. Most recently, Bond served as Legislative Director for Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia (D-Texas). Bond grew up in Charleston, WV and graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland with a degree in Biology.
“Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, our team has been hard at work for the people of Maine, fighting to deliver much-needed relief to our citizens in need,” said Senator King. “Pat, Natalie, and Nancy share our office’s passion for public service, and have the skills and dedication required to accomplish great things for our state. It’s a pleasure to welcome them to the team, and I am excited to see their contributions in the months and years ahead.”
