Month-long bottle drive supports Cub Scouts of Five Towns

ROCKPORT — Did you know that you can help raise much needed funds for local cub scouts by simply donating your returnable bottles and cans?
“A handy Bottle Drive box has been constructed and placed in front of Prince’s Furniture store, on Rt. 90, by a team of helpful scouts and their volunteer parents from local Cub Scout Pack 200,” said the Pack, in a news release.
The bottle drive box will remain in place for the month of December.
“Just put those aluminum cans, glass and plastic bottles from soda, alcohol or water into recyclable plastic bags and drop them in the box,” said 200. “They will be collected and redeemed on a twice-weekly basis. There. returnables recycling done! And funds will benefit cub scouts within the Five Town Community School District.
“Cub Scout Pack 200 thanks you for your help; and a special thanks goes to Prince’s Furniture & Mattresses store for allowing us to place the box in front of their business. Thank you!”
