Windjammer Basketball is a local basketball organization comprised of volunteers dedicated to helping young court athletes develop their knowledge, skills and love for the game of basketball. The goal is to provide athletes the opportunity to strive for achievement and excellence and have fun while learning the game. 

Windjammer Basketball plays in the Eastern Maine Basketball League that begins the first week of November with play until the end of January.

Tryouts are open to boys and girls in grades 3-8 in Camden, Rockport, Hope, Appleton, Lincolnville and St. George. The commitment to the team is 1-2 practices a week and travel to games on the weekend. 

(Please note this is different than the spring travel league, that registration will open in January.)

Players MUST BE REGISTERED AND ATTEND a tryout the week of October 6 (exact dates and times to follow). 

A registration fee of $150 will NOT be charged until after tryouts if/when the player is assigned to a team. 

Windjammer Basketball will work to schedule make up tryouts as needed and financial assistance is available. 

The deadline to register for tryouts and the 2025-2026 season is October 5.
