Waldoboro Police beat: Burglary, operating after suspension, accidents
WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 102 calls for service March 14-21. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt.
March 14
Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated an accident at the intersection of Atlantic Highway and Washington Road at 2:54 p.m. Jody Morse, 41, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2013 Nissan utility vehicle and Jeffrey Henthorn, 66, of Portland, was driving a 2010 Toyota sedan. Morse’s vehicle failed to stop at the intersection and struck Henthorn’s vehicle in the rear. No injuries were reported.
March 15
Officer John Lash investigated an accident on Washington Road at 9 p.m. Benjamin Sack, 40, of Bristol, was driving a 2002 Volkswagen sedan and traveling south on Washington Road when he fell asleep and went off the road on the right side, into the ditch, and jumped Deer Run Road. Injuries were reported.
March 16
Nathan Brewer, 27, of Nobleboro, was issued a summons by Officer Larry Hesseltine for burglary and theft.
Daniel McKechnie, 26, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Officer William Braff for harvesting clams without a town license.
Officer Thomas Bartunek is investigating a complaint from a citizen claiming harassment on Facebook.
March 17
Hesseltine is investigating a complaint from a citizen claiming harrassment on Facebook.
Theodore Poland, 48, of Nobleboro, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for unregistered motor vehicle and failure to show proof of insurance.
March 18
Ethan Day, 25, of Pittston, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for failure to show proof of insurance.
March 19
Krysta Roock, 26, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Fuller for operating after suspension.
Sgt. Jamie Wilson is investigating a report from a citizen that someone damaged their mailbox.
Wilson is investigating a report from a citizen claiming they are receiving threatening text messages.
