Community paddle and rally at Camden Harbor to support removal of Montgomery Dam
Join the Natural Resources Council of Maine, Megunticook RiverKeepers, and local partners for a community paddle and rally to support the removal of the Montgomery dam on the Megunticook River, May 17.
The paddle and rally is a family-friendly, educational event to celebrate healthy rivers, clean water, and thriving wildlife — and to call attention to the upcoming town vote on restoring a free-flowing Megunticook, according to a news release from the NRCM. Rain date is Sunday, May 18.
Visit educational tables hosted by partners including Penobscot Nation Department of Natural Resources, Downeast Salmon Federation, Georges River Trout Unlimited, Megunticook Riverkeeper, and NRCM.
