UNION — Voters casting ballots in Union for the November 3 general election were presented with one municipal referendum question.

The question read: “To see if the Town of Union will vote to continue with phase one of the sidewalk improvements project on Depot Street, funded by a $400,000 grant awarded from the Maine Department of Transportation and $100,000 appropriated from the Town’s sidewalk reserve account.”

The ballot question further noted: “The Town has already encumbered approximately $70,000 of their share leaving an additional $30,000 to complete phase one of the project. At this time $50,000 has been raised and funded to the reserve account.”
