Two Waldoboro women facing drug charges in Pittston traffic stop

PITTSTON — State Police say two Waldoboro residents are facing crack cocaine charges after the car they were in was stopped along Route 126 in Pittston on Nov. 5.
Troopers charged 39-year-old Nichole Pranes and 19-year-old Destinee Smith with unlawful possession of a schedule E drug.
According to Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland in a press release Monday, troopers seized from the car about four grams of crack, prescription pills and various drug paraphernalia. The two arrested were taken to the Kennebec County Jail. B
Troopers Chris Rogers and James Moore stopped the car, being driven by Pranes, last Thursday after receiving a tip from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.
