Trekkers bus serves as prize for essay contest
THOMASTON — Trekkers is now accepting 25 entries for a chance to win an “as-is” 1989 International Thomas Bus that is specifically outfitted for educational expeditions. Features of the bus include a kitchen, library, roof rack; storage for sleeping bags, tents, musical instruments, personal gear, art supplies and more. The contest entrance fee is $100. Entries must be postmarked on or before July 3 and received on or before July 10 by the close of the business day.
All essays must have no more than 200 words, be written in English, and must address the following subject: “How have travel, experiential education and the outdoors intertwined to change your life?” Submissions must be original. Essays will be judged on wit, human interest, expression of thought, creativity and originality.
The entrance form can be downloaded at trekkers.org or one will be mailed upon request.
