ScrapDogs Community Compost talk at Cushing library
Event Date
Thursday, June 04, 2026 - 06:30 pmClose the loop, feed your gardens and learn more about options for composting here in Midcoast Maine. Tessa Rosenberry, of ScrapDogs Community Compost, will discuss these options and the benefits of doing so, Thursday, June 4, at 6:30 p.m., at Cushing Public Library.
This collaborative community event, co-sponsored by Cushing and Thomaston public libraries, is free and open to the public.
According to a news release, about half of what Mainers send to landfills and incinerators every year could be turned into compost instead. Composting offers an excellent opportunity to transform something often considered waste into a resource for feeding people, nourishing the local soil ecosystem, and mitigating the effects of climate change.
