Rockport Police beat
ROCKPORT — Rockport Police reported issuing three traffic citations between June 28-Aug 2. Of the three traffic citations, one was issued for not providing proof of insurance, one for failure to display inspection sticker and the third for passing on the right where prohibited. In addition to the traffic infractions, Rockport Police reported four summones and one individual arrested, including the following activity through Aug. 13.
An arrest or summons does not constitute a conviction, and those charged are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17-or-younger are not named.
July 9
Michael Canfield, 25, of Rockport, was arrested by Officer Jeta Bixhaku for domestic violence assault, domestic violence criminal threatening, criminal mischief and violating condition of release.
Aug. 2
George Gendron, 39, of Rockland, was issued a summons by Officer Travis Ford for operating after suspension.
Aug. 13
Jose Manuel Cortez-Santiago, 21 (no town listed by police), was charged by Sgt. Jim Moore with operating under the influence, operating without a license and unauthorized use of property.
