Rockland's Emergency Warming Center extends overnight coverage, daytime hours available Jan. 26
Rockland's Emergency Warming Center will be open overnight at the Rec. (Flanagan Community Center) until Saturday morning.
DAYTIME SPACE: Monday, Jan. 26, from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m., the American Red Cross will operate a daytime warming center at the Rec. This means that guests will not need to leave between Sunday night and Monday night operations, according to the EWC, in a news release.
"Many thanks to the City of Rockland and the ARC for this offering, and to the CRCC and St. Peter's Episcopal Church for having created a warm daytime space today (Sunday) as well," said EWC.
EWC will be open:
- Sunday, Jan 25, from 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.
- Monday, Jan 26, from 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.
- Tuesday, Jan 27, from 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.
- Wednesday, Jan 28, from 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.
- Thursday, Jan 29, from 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.
- Friday, Jan 30, from 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.
EWC offers transportation for those who don't have another way to get to the space and back.
