Rockland installs sidewalk connecting Peasley Park to shopping center

Maverick Street will be closed for most of the day Monday, October 27, from Birch Street to North Main Street for road work.
ROCKLAND — The City of Rockland Public Works has begun a sidewalk installation along Mavrick Street. This will connect the new apartment complex "Peasley Park" with the Rockland Plaza shopping center.
Traffic will be backed up at times, according to Public Works. There may also be times when upper Mavrick Street will be closed to thru traffic, and traffic will be detoured to use North Main Street. Such a closure is in effect for the afternoon of Oct. 22, 2025, between Birch and North Main streets.
