    SEARSPORT — Carver Memorial Library has organized the following programs for October 2021.

    World Postcard Day is October 1
    DIY Kits and Take and Make Kits: Watercolor Postcards

    Kits available Thursday, September 30.
    Watercolor your own postcards and send a note to family and friends!
     
    Five Animal Qigong
    Wednesdays at 3pm, through October.
    On the library lawn. For inclement weather, we'll be at Union Hall, 1 Union St (upstairs at the Town Office).
    A fun and friendly introduction to Turtle, Snake, Crane, Tiger, and Dragon with Dean Anderson. All ages, small children to seniors.
     
    Poetry Meetup
    Tuesday, October 5, 3pm
    Outside on the library lawn, Zoom if it’s raining.

    Pick up a Blackout Poetry kit starting Tuesday Sept 28. On the 5th we’ll talk about our poetry creations or share poetry we like. Kids, teens, and adults encouraged, poetry is for everyone. If there’s interest, we’ll start a poetry club and keep going!

    Nanowrimo Intro: National Novel Writing Month
    October 26 at 3pm.
    Meet at the library, we'll see what the weather does re: inside or outside.
    Let's write together in November! Nanowrimo encourages you to just write! A lot! About anything! Set your own goals and reach for the stars. Nanowrimo is a great way to connect with others, stay motivated and bash out your first draft. What are you thinking about writing? All ages, adults, teens, and kids are encouraged to participate. If you love it, we’ll have weekly check-ins in November.
