New Era Gallery on Vinalhaven celebrates its 25th year with the 2026 season opening on May 23. The gallery exhibits work by more than 60 artists, most with a deep connection to the island, and hosts artists talks and events throughout the summer.

It is a center for conversation, as we seek to create connections in disparate times, and to find deeper understanding of the role that creativity plays in our lives.

The opening group show features new works by gallery artists in a variety of media, including painting, photography, sculpture, encaustic, fiber, ceramics and jewelry.

Hours on Saturday are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with light refreshments served from 5 - 7 p.m. 

Sunday, May 24, the gallery will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Regular hours for May and early June will be Wednesday – Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
