Nancy R. Chadwick (nee Orandle), passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at the age of 86. She is survived by her loving husband, David Chadwick; devoted children, Michael L. (Jodi) Chadwick and Carl L. (Susan) Chadwick; adored grandchildren, Holli Chadwick, Sara Chadwick, Jackson Chadwick and Mason Chadwick. She was predeceased by her devoted parents, Evelyn and Sidney Orandle.

Nancy was born in Baltimore, Maryland, but spent her formative years in Wilmington, Delaware. Following high school graduation, she went to work for DuPont Industries as a secretary, married David in 1959 and settled in David’s hometown of Reading, Pennsylvania in the early 1960s before returning to Wilmington for several years. Once back in Baltimore, Nancy returned to the workforce with Mercantile Bank & Trust then onto United States Fidelity & Guaranty Insurance Company for 27 years until her retirement in 2004.

Nancy cared deeply about her children and had the good fortune of watching the growth of her grandchildren into adulthood over the years. Her family was her treasure.
