The visiting Panthers shutout the host Mariners 5-0 in the Wednesday afternoon contest.

With the win, Medomak Valley finished the season 14-2.

Oceanside, meanwhile, concluded the season 13-3.

Medomak Valley plated three runs in the fourth inning and two in the sixth, while collecting five hits and committing one error.

Oceanside recorded three hits and committed one error.

Pitching for Oceanside was Chloe Jones, who fanned 12 batters and walked three in seven innings.

Working the pitcher’s circle for Medomak Valley was Addie Jamerson, who fanned eight batters, walked five and had one hit-by-pitch in seven innings.

At the plate for Medomak Valley were Jamerson (single), Mackenzie Emerson (two singles), Lydia Simmons (single) and Emily Wotton (single, RBI).

At the plate for Oceanside were Abby Veilleux (single), Lily Judecki (single) and Grace Pratt (single).

“Medomak Valley beat us fair and squared today, we didn't take advantage of our chances leaving 8 runners on base,” said Oceanside head coach Rusty Worcester. “[M]aking errors and making mental mistakes lead to losses. You can't leave the bases load twice and win games. We didn't play well but I am very confident in this team to finish strong in the playoffs. We will be ready for the playoffs and we will peak at the right moment.”
