Medomak 7th baseball finishes week with 2-1 record

WALDOBORO — The Medomak seventh grade baseball team participated in a trio of Busline League contests last week playing once against Great Salt Bay, Oceanside and Troy Howard, with the latter two contests coming as part of a Saturday doubleheader. 

Medomak 18, Great Salt Bay 5 (in 6 innings) 

The Riverhawks hosted Great Salt Bay for a Tuesday, May 17 showdown and earned itself an 18-5 victory in six innings. 

Medomak plated two runs each in the first two innings, one in the third, seven in the fourth, three in the fifth and three more in the sixth. Great Salt Bay, meanwhile, tallied one run each in the first two innings, two in the fifth and one in the sixth. 

Hitting for Medomak were Nolan Wellman (two singles, three runs), Jacoby Severson (single, two runs), Lanny Morrison (two doubles, three runs), Liam Feeley (single, two runs), Keith Miller (double), Wyatt Hood (single, run) Avery Kunesh-Lowe (single, two runs), Liam Ruffner (single, two runs), Gavin Ambridge (single, two runs) and Zac Curtis (run). 

At the plate for Great Salt Bay were Beevis (run), Sliger (double), Dinsmore (single, run), Busby (run), Reingardt (double, run), Donaghy (run) and Thompson (single). 

Medomak 16, Oceanside 5

The Riverhawks hosted a doubleheader Saturday, May 21 with the first contest coming against Oceanside. 

The Riverhawks got production from Lanny Morrison 2 hits, 1 run; Wellman 2 runs; Jacoby Severson 3 runs; Liam Feeley 2 tremendous doubles, 2 runs; Hood 2 hits, 2 runs; Keith Miller 2 runs; Jacoby Miller hit, run; Gavin Ambridge run; and Nick Bowman hit, 2 runs.

For the Mariners at the plate: A. House (single), B. Toothaker (two singles, two runs), G. Gerrett (two singles, two runs), H. Hamilton (single, run) and R. Roberts (single). First names were not available. 

Troy Howard 15, Medomak 2 (in 5 innings)

In the second contest of the May 21 doubleheader, Medomak was mercy-ruled by Troy Howard. 

Medomak plated one run in the third and fourth innings, while Troy Howard scored one in the second, two in the third, one in the fourth and 11 in the fifth. 

At the plate for Medomak were Nolan Wellman (two singles), Jacoby Severson (run), Morrison (single), Keith Miller (double) and Avery Kunesh-Lowe (run).
