Marcus Mrowka has the temperament, experience and dedication we need in Augusta
Marcus Mrowka and I have served together for the last six years on the Five Town CSD and Camden-Rockport Schools school boards. We have served through COVID, major facilities projects, leadership transitions, and difficult budget conversations. Through all of this, Marcus has been a steadfast and level headed leader.
Marcus’ great strength is that he values people – those with whom he serves on the Board, educators and staff in our schools, parents, and the students. He shows up, taking time to sit in on classes, attend events, listen, collaborate, and balance the needs of our students and schools with those of taxpayers. His connections to federal and state policymakers, combined with his policy experience at the local, state, and national levels have served the community well. He regularly advocates for our students and schools at the state level and is a statewide leader on education issues.
Marcus is willing to have difficult conversations and does not shy away from challenges. One of the factors motivating him to run for State House was seeing the decline in school enrollment. He understands that it has become more and more difficult for people to afford to live and raise a family here and wants to do something about it. He is stepping up to fight for solutions to reverse this trend and make this an area where families can afford to live and thrive.
That’s the kind of leader I want representing me in the State House. I hope you’ll join me in voting for the candidate with the temperament, experience, and dedication we need.
Becky Flanagan lives in Camden and sits on the Five Town CSD and School Administrative District 28 school boards.
