The Maine Department of Marine Resources is holding an auction for 267 lobster traps. The items for bid include five lots of 50 traps, and one lot of 17 traps. Traps are in a variety of conditions, from poor to excellent. 

Some traps include line, however there are no buoys included.

Additional items available for bid: one lot of rope. 

BIDDING: Bidding will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday, October 31, 2025 and will end Sunday, November 9, 2025, and will take place on GovDeals.com online auction website.

You must register with GovDeals.com before you can bid. There will be no other types of bids taken. You can view items online and register to bid at www.govdeals.com.

ONSITE VIEWING: Viewing may be done by appointment between 8:00 am-2:30 pm Monday – Friday 11/3/2025 to 11/7/2025.

A 2025 MAINE DMR TRAP AUCTION TAG MUST REMAIN IN THE TRAP AT ALL TIMES AFTER THE SALE. 

You will need to show the paid receipt you get from GovDeals.com at the time you receive your items.

Loading will be the responsibility of the successful bidder and shipping arrangements and cost are the sole responsibility of the successful bidder.
