KNOX — Lewis Fredrick “Fred” Alley passed away Aug. 27, 2015, at his residence in Knox. He was born Aug. 22, 1932, in Jonesport, the 16th of 16 children born to Herbert and Clara Alley.
He was a friend to all, warm and loving, generous and always had a smile. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing the guitar and reading.
Fred was predeceased by his wife, Rita (Corey) Alley; two sons, Gary and Craig Alley; and 15 siblings. Survivors include his daughter, Robin Johnson and her husband, Bill; his son, Brent Alley; his granddaughters, Ashley Johnson and Lacey Lawson; and his great-grandsons, Adyn and Caelen.
Funeral services were held Sept. 1, with burial at East Knox Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home.
