Knox County Criminal Docket closed cases

    ROCKLAND — The following cases were closed in Knox County Unified Court from May 2-13.

    Larry E. Baum, 61, of Spruce Head, untagged lobster traps, Chapter 25, in St. George March 10, 2022, $1,200 fine.

    Ashley Rae Benner, 38, of Thomaston, probation violation on a prior conviction of unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs in Thomaston Sept. 19, 2018, $400 fine, five years in jail with all but nine months and one day suspended, probation three years; aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs in Thomaston April 11, 2022, dismissed.

    Isles R. Blackington, 23, of Vinalhaven, failing to stop for an officer and operating vehicle without license on Vinalhaven Sept. 26, 2019, both dismissed; operating vehicle without license, failing to stop for an officer and violating condition of release on Vinalhaven Oct. 24, 2019, all dismissed; operating vehicle without license, attaching false plates and failing to stop for an officer on Vinalhaven Feb. 20, 2020, all dismissed; violating condition of release on Vinalhaven Feb. 20, 2020, $250 fine.

    Daniel Bonneau, 42, of Newport, domestic violence aggravated assault in Rockland Dec. 1, 2021, dismissed; obstructing report of injury in Rockland April 29, 2022, dismissed.

    Gregory W. Bowden, 37, of Rockland, operating while license suspended or revoked, prior, in Thomaston Jan. 11, 2022, $500 fine.

    Nicole L. Brown, 21, of Troy, operating under the influence (alcohol) in Appleton Jan. 30, 2021, dismissed; driving to endanger in Appleton Jan. 30, 2021, $575 fine, license suspended 30 days.

    Christopher F. Burns, 50, of Thomaston, failing to make oral or written accident report in Cushing Feb. 14, 2022, unconditional discharge.

    Michael Canfield, 25, of Rockport, unlawful sexual contact in Warren April 6, 2018, five years in jail with all but nine months suspended, probation two years.

    Canfield was arrested by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office on July 11, 2018. According to the affidavit filed in court by police, Deputy Paul Spear responded to a complaint from a pastor of a local church about a sexual assault of a 17-year-old female.  

    When police interviewed the victim, she told them that she met Canfield on Facebook and began communicating with him on Facebook Messenger.

    She said that they eventually met at his residence in Warren where he assaulted her.

    Christopher E. Christian, 63, of Waldoboro, operating after habitual offender revocation in Rockland Aug. 16, 2021, $500 fine, 30 days in jail; attaching false plates in Rockland Aug. 16, 2021, $500 fine all suspended.

    Douglas Davis, 50, of Rockland, curfew violation in Rockland Feb. 27, 2022, $25 fine.

    Aaron Fisher, 42, of Friendship, criminal mischief and obstructing government administration in Friendship March 8, 2022, $250 fine each all suspended; refusing to submit to arrest or detention, physical force in Friendship March 8, 2022, $350 fine.

    Rosemary D. Fowles, 70, of Washington, negotiating a worthless instrument in Union Oct. 1, 2021, dismissed.

    Kelly C. Hynd, 52, of Thomaston, disorderly conduct in Cushing Sept. 20, 2020, unconditional discharge.

    Trevor R. Light, 24, of Windsor, operating under the influence (alcohol) in Camden Dec. 6, 2019, $500 fine, seven days in jail, license suspension 150 days, operating vehicle without a license (conditions and restrictions) in Camden Dec. 6, 2019, seven days in jail.

    Kenneth D. Low, 48, of Washington, operating under the influence (alcohol) in Friendship March 3, 2022, $500 fine, 48 hours jail, license suspended 150 days.

    Christopher Garrett Marshall, 24, of Thomaston, operating under the influence (alcohol) in Thomaston July 2, 2021, $500 fine, 10 days in jail, license suspended 150 days.

    Gregory S. McRae, 46, of Thomaston, violating protection from abuse order in Rockland Dec. 10, 2021, six months in jail with all but four days suspended, probation one year.

    Megan Robinson, 35, of Rockland, curfew violation in Rockland Feb. 27, 2022, $25 fine.

    Miranda Sawyer, 38, of Rockland, curfew violation in Rockland Feb. 27, 2022, $25 fine.

    Michael Sentell, 37, of Washington, operating under the influence (alcohol), no test, in Union Dec. 14, 2021, $600 fine, 30 days in jail, license suspended 150 days; criminal threatening, terrorizing, and disorderly conduct, offensive words and gestures all in Union Dec. 14, 2021, 30 days in jail; criminal mischief in Washington Nov. 29, 2021,15 days in jail; domestic violence criminal threatening in Rockland April 7, 2022, 364 days in jail all but 90 days suspended, probation one year; disorderly conduct, offensive words, gestures and violating condition of release in Rockland April 7, 2022, 30 days in jail; domestic violence assault in Rockland April 7, 2022, dismissed; violating condition of release in Washington Feb. 22, 2022, 15 days in jail.

    Bronson R. Simmons, 34, of Camden, probation violation on a prior conviction of criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon in Rockland June 19, 2019, six months in jail, probation partially revoked, probation continued; domestic violence terrorizing in Thomaston May 9, 2022, dismissed; violating protection from abuse order and domestic violence terrorizing both in Thomaston May 9, 2022, six months in jail.

    Zachary K. Starr, 25, of Thomaston, criminal trespass in Rockland March 6, 2022, $500 fine.

    Darrin E. Upton, 39, of South Thomaston, aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs in Rockland Aug. 20, 2021, dismissed; trafficking in drugs in Rockland Aug. 20, 2021, $400 fine; trafficking in prison contraband and criminal forfeiture of property in Rockland Aug. 20, 2021.
