Kinney is reelected to House District 99

    Incumbent MaryAnne Kinney, a Republican, was challenged this election cycle in the race for State House District 99 by Democrat April Turner. 

    The district serves the communities of Brooks, Burnham, Freedom, Jackson, Knox, Monroe, Thorndike, Troy and Unity. 

    Kinney did not return a PenBayPilot.com candidate questionnaire, despite repeated requests for its submission. However, according to her legislator Facebook page, she co-owns Kinney’s Sugarhouse and Knox Ridge Farm, and is an active member of the Maine Farm Bureau and part of Governor Mills’ task force for maple syrup promotion. 

    Turner did not return a PenBayPilot.com candidate questionnaire, despite repeated requests for its submission. However, according to her candidate website, she understands economic challenges as she once had to work four jobs to make ends meet.
