ROCKLAND — Jeffrey “Jeff” “Jigger” Johnson, 48, found peace on Aug. 28, 2015, after a long journey.

Born in Rockland on Nov. 13, 1966, Jeff was the son of Herman Jr. and Rosalie K. Johnson. He attended St. George and Thomaston schools.

For most of his life, Jeff worked in the construction industry. He was a giver, with a huge heart, and would do just about anything for anyone in need of help. He was a true handyman and could do anything he put his mind to.

Jeff is survived by his loving mother, Rosalie K. Johnson of Camden; his children, Jacob and Lily Johnson, both of Rockland; his siblings, Wayne Thorndike of South Thomaston, Kelly Thorndike of Owls Head, Donna Winslow of Lincolnville and Jeanne Johnson of Rockland; one grandson; and many other extended family members.

Jeff's family has chosen to remember his life privately.
