Give Chip Curry your vote Nov. 3
I’m writing to support Chip Curry’s re-election to represent Waldo County (District 11) in the Maine State Senate. I’ve known Chip since his early days as the Student Activities Coordinator at Unity College. As our state senator, he has always been responsive to requests, quick to return phone calls, and helpful with local problems. Most recently Chip has been helpful in getting the Waldo County Commission to turn off a Flock-type camera in Unity.
I especially appreciate Chip’s work in the area of housing affordability. He has sponsored or otherwise championed over 25 bills that promote housing affordability and was one of the architects of the legislature’s 2026 Key Housing Initiatives.
In the legislature Chip has focused on issues that are important to our rural Waldo County economy, including access to broadband internet, reductions to property tax, and state support for local schools. Chip helped to pass a budget that brings the state contribution to schools to the mandated 55% level so that local support for schools doesn’t mean ever-increasing local property taxes.
As chair of the Senate’s Joint Committee on Innovation, Development, Economic Advancement and Business, Chip is positioned to do great work for Waldo County and the state of Maine in the coming legislative session. Please give Chip Curry your vote on November 3.
