VINALHAVEN — Eric Bradford Dyer, 61, passed away at the Sussman House in Rockport on January 11, 2024 following a long illness. Born in Lewiston on May 8, 1962, he was the adopted son of Phillip D. and Sadie (Gustavson) Dyer.

Eric was a member of the Community of Christ Church and attended school in Vinalhaven. 

During his life, he worked at various jobs including helping his father build summer homes and lobster boats.

As a child, he developed a love of music. Eric loved singing and playing the guitar and often recorded his music shared his music at church gatherings and events. 

In addition to his father, he is predeceased by his longtime companion, Glenda Barnaby. 

Surviving is his mother, Sadie Dyer; his son, Corey Ryan Wass of Seward, Alaska; and several cousins. 

Private interment will be in Cummings Cemetery in Vinalhaven.
