The following was sent by RSU Superintendent Mary Alice McLean, March 28:

Many people in the community have asked how they can help during this time of school closure due to the pandemic.

In addition to our RSU 71 Food Services and Transportation Department preparing and delivering meals to students, our School Nurses send home a bag of groceries every week to our most needy families.  This week we sent home 120 bags, totaling 1250 lbs of food. While we continue to partner with the Good Shepard Food Bank/GBAM we are still in need to purchase some additional items.
