Cole Anderson swings to Florida Azalea tournament crown

PALATKA, Fla. — No matter what state he is in, former Camden Hills Regional High School golfer Cole Anderson finds his way to the top of a tournament’s leaderboard. 

At the Florida Azalea golf tournament March 15-17 in Palatka, Florida, the 18-year-old Camden native earned first place in the 124-man tournament founded in 1958. 

Anderson compiled scores of 68, 67 and 66 for a total of 201 at his first amateur tournament in 2019. 

Anderson graduated high school in December 2018 and subsequently enrolled in Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.

Anderson is a member of the Seminoles’ collegiate golf team.
