City of Rockland to host Safe Routes to South School community workshop

Thursday, February 26, 2026 - 06:00 pm to 07:30 pmOn Thursday, February 26, the City of Rockland will host a Safe Routes to South School Community Workshop. The workshop will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m., in the Gymnasium at the South Elementary School, 30 Broadway in Rockland.
The public is invited to attend the workshop to help the City plan for better bike and pedestrian access to the South School.
"Participants can expect to learn about the project area and goals from project staff, share their perspectives on transportation issues in the project area, and share their priorities for potential solutions," said the City, in a news release.
All are welcome to attend, including children and families. For those unable to attend in-person, a survey option is available. To learn more about the project and to access the survey, visit www.rocklandmaine.gov/saferoutes2southschool.
