BELFAST — Join the Belfast Bay Watershed Coalition for Bird Week: a week long series of bird walks to various wild places in the watershed.
All bird trips begin at 7 a.m., canceled if raining.
Dates: May 16-21, 2022. Bring warm clothes, binoculars. Please no pets.
Mon. May 16 at “The Muck,” Kirby Lake, in Belfast.
Tues. May 17 Farm and Grassland birds at Cloe and David’s farm, 210 Oak Hill Road, Swanville.
Wed. May 18 Head of Tide Preserve, Coastal Mountains Land Trust, 85 Doak Road, Belfast. Gary Gulezian leading.
Thur. May 19 Sears Island. Meet at the gate on the causeway.
Fri. May 20 Hills to Sea Trail. Meet at the train station at the end of the Belfast Rail Trail.
Sat. May 21 Birding by canoe/kayak at Upper Mason Pond, Rt. 141 (Swan Lake Ave.) in East Belfast. Bring your boat, paddle, PFD, warm clothes, binoculars.
