(Photo courtesy Holly Anderson)CAMDEN — The four candidates running for the two open seats on the Select Board spent two hours deep in discussion about issues facing Camden this Town Meeting season at the Camden Select Board Candidates' Forum May 18 held by PenBayPilot.com and moderated by Rep. Vicki Doudera, who represents Camden and Rockport in Augusta.
For more than an hour the candidates — Geoff Scott, Bobbi Oxton Blake, Sara Skrivanich and Chris Nolan — were allotted three minutes each to answer a variety of questions that focused on policy and the fiscal state of Camden. Then, for another 40 minutes, they were peppered with written questions submitted from the audience and given one-minute response times. And, then, for a few questions, it was a one- or two-word required answer.
The forum was broad in scope and can be viewed in entirety at Select Board Candidates Forum 05.18.26
PenBayPilot.com and Moderator Vicki Doudera will be holding another Select Board Candidates' Forum, this time for Rockport candidates, May 26, 6 to 8 p.m. in the Parker Meeting Room at the Rockport Opera House. It, too, will be streamed live at Rockport's YouTube channel.
Town Meeting Elections will be held June 9 at the polls in both towns at their respective polling locations.
