'Burt' movie opening night to have Q and A with actor, filmmaker
Lead actor Oliver Cooper and filmmaker Joe Burke will be in attendance for a fun Q&A following the opening night screening of Burt.
The new movie will be shown August 19 - 26, playing daily, at Colonial Theatre, in Belfast.
"Executive produced by David Gordon Green, Burt is a hilarious and super heartfelt father-son story, inspired by a real friend, Burt Berger, a 70-year-old street musician in Los Angeles with Parkinson's Disease," said Burke.
Burt stars in the movie alongside actor Oliver Cooper (Red Oaks, Mindhunter, Project X), who co-wrote and produced it with Burke.
The movie was shot in just 7 days for $7K, three person crew.
"That true indie spirit," said Burke.
The film won Best Picture at the Phoenix Film Festival, Best Comedy at Cinequest, and the Special Jury Award for Best Screenplay at the Florida Film Festival.
