BH Opera House: Emmet Cahill returns Aug. 23
Celtic Thunder star Emmet Cahill returns to the historic Opera House in Boothbay Harbor Saturday, Aug. 23 performing a stellar show of classic songs from Broadway and Hollywood's Golden Age. From South Pacific to Westside story, audiences will settle in for a night of the greatest songs from stage and screen. Cahill has just one Maine performance on his summer/fall tour and it’s in Boothbay Harbor.
Emmet Cahill hails from Mullingar, Ireland, and is the lead singer with PBS phenomenon Celtic Thunder.
Music critics in the U.S. and Europe have proclaimed him to be one of the best young Irish tenors in decades. Cahill has recently made sold-out debuts at New York’s Carnegie Hall and with the world famous Tabernacle Choir. His album of Irish music debuted at #1 on the Billboard World Music Charts. His recent appearances have included The Today Show, New York’s St Patrick’s Cathedral, US Pentagon, and performances with the Atlanta Symphony.
He will be joined by internationally-acclaimed conductor Christopher Allen with special guest vocalist Zoe Allen.
