BELFAST — Landscape Impressions, an exhibit of encaustic and oil paintings by Belfast resident Karen K. Kulberg, will be on display in the Kramer Gallery of the Belfast Free Library for the month of July.

Describing her approach to painting Kulberg said, in a news release, “I work primarily in oil and in encaustic, which allows me to explore the colors and textures of what I see in nature without being constricted by a need for photorealism. I work in the manner of abstract expressionism trying to capture the colors and textures in what I feel rather than just what I see.”

The Kramer Gallery, located on the ground floor of the Belfast Free Library is open during library hours.
